Thank you for all of your sweet congratulations on our baby news! I was touched to see how excited you all were for us, and although I'm actually on a little quick getaway with my husband in beautiful Charlotte, I didn't want to forget to say thank you. I appreciate each of you for reading and taking the time to comment.
Have a lovely Monday, and I'll be back once I'm home and unpacked!
How sweet :)
ReplyDeleteHave fun Sarah !
And praying you have a safe trip back
to your family.
Have a fabulous time! : )
ReplyDeleteHave fun! If it were not hubby time, I would have asked you over for tea or to meet somewhere :).
ReplyDeleteThat would've been so fun! Next time :)
DeleteConsider it an open invitation anytime :). Next time you're here, you MUST go to Amelie's Bakery...amazing!
DeleteCongratulations! We adopted threee and had hoped for a fourth, but my dh was displaced from his job and we had to move out of state to keep it. That severed our ties with CPS (and our foster/adopt license) so believed God was telling us His plan was 3 children and no more. Don't ever presume to know God's plans fully, lol. In 2006 (when our youngest was 4 already), we were out Christmas shopping and our cell phone rang. It was our former CPS ("How did they get our new cell phone number???") Turns out, the birth mother of some of our children had another baby and, as he was sibling ot our children, they asked if we would like to adopt him. Um...YES!!! That fourth child is now 5 years old and could be heard crying outside 10 minutes ago because the older kids wanted to ride bikes and he couldn't keep up, poor little guy. So his daddy is out there now. You'll have those days too due to the age gap, but it's ALL worth it.

Toni

Sarah - I am just elated for you and your family! Truly. I have been following your journey of this blog ever since little Addy was born -all the way from my nook in northern California~! I have not always commented, but I have been blessed in "watching" your family grow -and now, to add another little sweet pea to the bunch, is so exciting. I look forward to hearing about the next "book" in the series of your lives. I know God will do great things.
ReplyDeleteI will pray for your pregnancy -as being sick is NOT fun, but the pain & nausea are so minor in the midst of the beautiful baby growing inside.
I have four beautiful girls -- and having four babies is really wonderful. I am blessed.
Yay!

P.S. - and I have to say that sometimes I feel as if we are kindred spirits that never met - because I wonder sometimes how did you have the same kind of week, month, year that I had and we have never met or live so far apart. LOL.
OK so weird that you were in Charlotte the same time as me. Quick question and I am sure you have already answered it before but I cannot find the answer. Where do you get your children's reading lists?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Allison, I use Sarah Clarkson's book, "Read for the Heart," Gladys Hunt's "Honey for a Child's Heart," and the free reading lists at amblesideonline.org and charlottemasonhelp.com. I like a number of classic children's authors, like Edith Nesbit, C. S. Lewis, George MacDonald, G.A. Henty, Jules Verne, Charlotte Yonge, etc. Most of these have series of books, and that helps keep my kids' book lists pretty full! I hope that helps :)
DeleteA big congrats to you :) We actually just found out we're having our 5th-big and wonderful surprise! Our first 3 were all born within 3 years and then we had a 5 year gap and now almost 3 years :) God has His perfect and amazing timing <3 I do truly enjoy your blog and pray you will be feeling much better-I can relate to the sick all day -ugh! :)
