A Perfect Labor Day

(Let's pretend it's still Labor Day. I wrote this and forgot to post it!)



Labor Day dalliances:

~quilting on the deck under gentle sunlight before breakfast

~croquet and Bocce ball on the back lawn--discovering that Addie has a serious arm!

~an easy hour of lessons, followed by an impromptu four-person nap on the Happy Room floor

~dinner outside, then a bike ride down country roads and back

~playing in the yard until dark

~ditching baths to watch an old episode of "All Creatures Great & Small" instead,

~then little ones tumbling into bed, giggling and whispering to each other under covers.

Everybody falls asleep fast, and I resume my quilting in a silent house.

Perfect.
