A child, a child, hiding in the tree,
Do you see what I see? A child, a child, contemplating which ornament she'll steal next,But seriously, who needs presents? She's entirely entertained with the *tree itself.
*Speaking of the tree, we're believers in having the kids decorate it themselves. That's why it's not beautiful, the ornaments are clumped together, and there are no glass balls any closer than 5 feet above ground.
Brilliant tradition - let the kids do the decorating! Why didn't I think of that? She steals my heart.
ReplyDeleteShe is just too cute. Love the red boots!
ReplyDeleteWe always let our kids decorate the tree too when they were growing up, and like you said, the first few years it wasn't beautiful. But as they got older the tree got prettier and prettier every year. Now that they're all adults and living scattered around the country, it's the thing I miss the most every Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of letting the kids decorate! Those are priceless memories you are making. We have a tradition of doing it all together and I love it. Would love to see the rest of your decorations.
ReplyDeleteBut the thing is, it IS beautiful. And so is she.

Aunt Barb
Love the dancing! My boys always decorated too and they tended to have a spot where they clumped their fav ornaments. Now at 16 my oldest is fine w/out decorating it but my 13 year old boy is still a fan!
